The war between the North and the South began when the Geneva Accords were signed on July 20, 1954, dividing the country in two. This caused the migration of nearly one million North Vietnamese into the South.
More than 20 years later, on April 30, 1975, South Vietnam fell. This momentous event marked the end of the war, causing tens of thousands of Vietnamese to flee their homeland in search of FREEDOM!
