Vietnamese Idol of Minnesota
The Vietnamese Idol (Karaoke) Contest recognizes the talented voices in Minnesota. A preliminary and final round, which occurs at the 2011 Tet Festival selects the first, second & third place winners.

Performance Guidelines
- 1. Solo performances only please.
- 2. Songs should be performed in Vietnamese.
- 3. Contestants cannot perform the same song for both the Preliminary and Final Round.

Plymouth, MN 55441 - For the Final Round, winners will be selected by judges (90%) and audience vote (10%).
- Registration includes submitting a registration form and paying a $5 fee.
- Registration can occur in advance or at the Preliminary Round.
Competition Format
Preliminary Round will be held:
1. Contestants will perform in the order that they register.
2. Registration will STOP at 9:30pm.
3. Contestants should have their music available on a DVD. It is recommend to have TWO songs prepared in case of being selected to the Semi-Final Round held on the same night. Contestants will be disqualified if not having the second song prepared for the Semi-Final Round.
4. Top 10 will be selected by a panel of judges (80%) and audience vote (20%) to go to the Semi-Final Round.
5. Three finalists will then be selected by the judges to perform at the annual Tet Festival (Final Round).
Final Round will be held:
Eligibility
1. Must be at least 16 years old.
2. Minnesota residents only.
3. Professional singers are ineligible.
4. If selected as one of the finalists, contestants must be available to compete at the 2011 Tet Festival or forfeit their opportunity at the prizes.
